because search engines told me so.
see.. site is static. blog gets updated faster then sites and so they gets better ranking in search engines then sites.
But blogs are for someone who can keep up, like i said you have to update it regularly.
and blog can be costly if you wish to host it on your own and not free ones like blogger or wordpress. now why would u want to do that. because that gives u more freedom, more professional look (u have your own domain so it shows ur seriousness) and like said above - more reliability, blogger is way slow and there are cases of blogs being deleted every now and then(i take backup every couple of days)
blogging platform like wordpress and blogger have their own limitations but u can modify them if u have some html knowledge. I had no problem changing mine because of my computer background but even if u don't know much there are tricks available that can be implemented easily.
cost wise no difference between site and blog.
time and effort - blog needs more.
